On Saturday, October 3 is the former pumping station Cruquius again completely dominated by 'STEAM'. Wij organiseren dan een Stoomdag: We organize a Stoomdag:

on a great festival with much steam activities for visitors, young and old, can participate. With the steam strippenkaart of 2.50 (excluding entrance) visitors can see everything and enjoy:


Ride with a steam locomotive! In the garden and several steam engines driving: scale replica of a small locomotive, steam tractors and a steam. And there is a real steamboat shipping! steam practicum


In the museum there is much to see and do: Experiment yourself with the model steam engines of the steam lab.  Discover the power of steam by doing experiments in the stoomlab.


The theatergroup Living History takes visitors back in time for the steam engines with the exciting story "on the Cruquius Sabotage" (presentation at 13.00 and 15.00). Children can feel really good when they immerse themselves dressed as such engineer, or colecarrier oiler, in the Dressbox of the museum is enough clothing.


And of course, the steam museum in which the house has demonstrated: as Cruquius Machine, the world's largest steam engine, and the Arkelse Dam, the oldest surviving steam engine from the Netherlands. Besides our own steam, there are special days for this wonderful working stationary steam engines to scale to admire.


Reason enough on October 3 Cruquius to go to the Museum and steam to come!

Caution!

On this day can not be with the car parked at the museum. Please try to bicycle or public transport to come (bus 140, Haarlem - Hoofddorp, stop 'Ringvaart Cruquius Bridge "). Yet with the car? Any passenger can deliver at the museum, but immediately afterwards you get directed to the parking lot of Paswerk, Spie the Ring Road 835. From this car park shuttle buses to the museum.
